Duke women's basketball adds transfer from Wagner
May 3, 2016 - 9:04 PM DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Duke has added transfer Sofia Roma from Wagner.Coach Joanne P. McCallie announced the addition of the 6-foot-2 sophomore forward on Tuesday.
She will sit out this coming season due to NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility left beginning in 2017-18.
Roma averaged 5.7 points and 10 rebounds last season for Wagner.
Duke's human resources department is investigating the women's basketball program after two players left following the season. Azura Stevens, Duke's leading scorer and rebounder, transferred to reigning national champion Connecticut.
