2024 NFL Draft: ACC Seventh Round Recap

    In the seventh and final round of the 2024 NFL Draft, seven ACC players were selected. Three of those players were Miami Hurricanes. Defensive back Jaden Davis, offensive lineman Matt Lee, and defensive back James Williams all went in the seventh round. Their in-state rivals, Florida State, had two more players selected with Jaheim Bell and Tatum Bethune becoming the ninth and tenth Seminoles to be taken in the draft.     2024 NFL Draft: ACC Sixth Round Recap

    Six ACC players went off the board in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The first one to be selected was the first Virginia Cavalier to be selected this year, with wide receiver Malik Washington being taken by the Miami Dolphins at 184 overall. The very next pick saw wide receiver Johnny Wilson get selected by the Philadelphia Eagles. Wilson was the 8th Seminole to be drafted this year. Both Boston College offensive lineman Christian Mahogany and NC State offensive lineman Dylan McMahon were selected in the sixth round.     2024 NFL Draft: ACC Fifth Round Recap

    Eight ACC players had their names called during the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Clemson linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will follow in his father's footsteps and become an Eagle after Philadelphia selected him 155th overall. Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis will be playing in New York as the 171st overall selection by the Jets. Louisville had two players selected in the fifth round with defensive back Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and wide receiver Jamari Thrash.     2024 NFL Draft: ACC Fourth Round Recap

    The fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft saw the most movement of ACC players thus far. The first two guys off the board were North Carolina teammates, with linebacker Cedric Gray going to Tennessee at 106 overall and Tez Walker going to Baltimore at 113. DB Malik Mustapha was the first Wake Forest player to get selected this year, going 124 overall. The round then ended with a pair of running backs getting picked in Clemson's Will Shipley and Louisville's Isaac Guerendo.     2024 NFL Draft: ACC Second & Third Round Recap

    The 2024 NFL Draft's second & third rounds have come to a close and saw four ACC players finding new homes. The night began with the Buffalo Bills selecting Florida State wide receiver Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick. Two picks later, Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro was picked by the Atlanta Falcons. The Los Angeles Rams then traded up to select FSU's Braden Fiske. The Noles representation continued to close out the second round as the 49ers grabbed defensive back Renardo Green. The trend continued early in the third round with the Arizona Cardinals selecting running back Trey Benson with the 66th pick. Pitt offensive lineman Matt Goncalves went to the Indianapolis Colts with the 79th pick, BC's Elijah Jones went to Arizona in the 90th slot and DeWayne Carter will be going from Duke to the Buffalo Bills after being selected with the 95th pick.     2024 NFL Draft: ACC First Round Recap

    The 2024 NFL Draft's first round has come to a close and saw four ACC players finding new homes. UNC quarterback Drake Maye kicked things off as the third selection by the New England Patriots. Florida State's pass rusher defensive lineman Jared Verse went 19th to the Los Angeles Rams. Duke was represented by offensive lineman Graham Barton, as he was selected 26th by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nate Wiggins the defensive back out of Clemson was the last selection for the league on the night, as he was selected 30th by the Baltimore Ravens.

    2024 North Carolina Spring Football All-Access Practice

    The North Carolina Tar Heels held their 2024 spring football all-access practice on April 14, 2024. Head Coach Mack Brown wanted to switch things up and televise a practice as opposed to a scrimmage, giving fans an inside look at how a normal practice looks. During the drills, you get an inside look at how practice is run, with interviews with coach Brown, Chip Lindsey and new defensive coordinator Geoff Collins as well as current players Kaimon Rucker and J.J.     Duke wide receiver Jordan Moore outjumps and outfights defensive back Chandler Rivers to score the only touchdown of the game in Duke's 2024 Spring Football game. New transfer quarterback Maalik Murphy threw a very nice pass and Moore was able to come down with it for the score.

    Duke wide receiver Jontavis Robertson makes a great one-handed "touchdown" catch, having to fight off good coverage by defensive back Kimari Robinson and stretch out with one hand to make the grab during 1-on-1 drills that were part of the open practice portion of Duke's 2024 Spring Football Game.

    Duke wide receiver Apollos Cook makes a great juggling "touchdown" catch, bringing the ball in and toe-tapping both feet inbounds during 1-on-1 drills that were part of the open practice portion of Duke's 2024 Spring Football Game.

    2024 Duke Spring Football Game

    The 2024 Duke Spring Football game was held on April 20th, 2024 at Wallace Wade Stadium and it was the first opportunity for fans to see new head coach Manny Diaz's team. The game took on a different format, as it was Blue (offense) vs. White (defense) in a format where the scoring was normal for the offense, but the defense was awarded points for forcing stops and making plays. The defense won, 24-16, however impressive plays were made by both sides of the ball. New transfer Maalik Murphy showed flashes, including a beauty of a touchdown pass to Jordan Moore.     2024 Louisville Cardinals Spring Football Game

    The offense came back to defeat the defense late in the fourth quarter of Louisville's Spring Football Game, 45-37. Quarterback Tyler Shough, a senior transfer from Texas Tech, seemed to secure his spot as the Cardinals' top QB heading into the fall. Shough completed 8 of 12 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Chris Bell was the standout player of the game, catching an 80-yard touchdown on the first play of the game, and finishing the night with three catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Walk-on receiver Kris Hughes also made a big impact on the game with five catches for 63 yards and a 70-yard run on a reverse.
