KAN 3, LAA 9Vinnie Pasquantino's reaction to Adam Frazier's go-ahead home run in the 9th-inning against the Los Angeles Angels was how all of us felt.
Alec Marsh returned to the mound from his stint on the injured list and pitched well, striking out a season-high 7 batters over 5.1 innings and giving up just 1 run. Chris Stratton, Will Smith, and Tyler Duffey held the Angels off the board in relief of Marsh to keep the game close, but the Royals offense was held off the scoreboard for the first 8 innings. After a one-out single for MJ Melendez in the 9th, his third hit of the game, Adam Frazier stepped to the plate and delivered with his first Royals home run to swing the Royals ahead dramatically. John Schreiber came on in the bottom of the 9th to slam the door and give the Royals their third straight win.

Dairon Blanco was the story of the night with the bat, opening the scoring with a 2-run homer in a 3/3 performance and scoring 4 runs. Vinnie Pasquantino belted a 442' blast and drove in another with a sacrifice fly, and Maikel Garcia turned in a season-high three-hit performance in the winning effort as the Royals plated 10 to open the series and road trip with a win.

MIL 4, KAN 6After splitting the first two games of the series, the Royals sent Brady Singer to the mound in the finale. Singer surrendered 1 run over 5.1 innings while striking out 4. The offense manufactured the runs early, pushing the first three across with sacrifice flies from Vinnie Pasquantino and two from Michael Massey. Bobby Witt Jr. smashed his 5th homer of the season, and Adam Frazier and Freddy Fermin each drove in runs in a 3-run 8th inning. The bullpen never gave up the lead, with the help of an MJ Melendez outfield assist to nab a runner at the plate, and James McArthur came in late to lock down the save and give the Royals a series win.

MIL 6, KAN 5With storms in the forecast and the first pitch time being moved up 30 minutes, the series opener vs. the Brewers was looking to be full of a lot of excitement. Cole Ragans took the mound and allowed 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 walks while striking out 8 over 6.0 innings pitched. Michael Massey got the Royals offense going with a solo shot to right field in the bottom of the 7th inning. Nelson Velázquez got hit by a pitch, and Adam Frazier walked next. Dairon Blanco hit a single, which loaded the bases for leadoff hitter Maikel Garcia. Garcia ripped a single up the middle, scoring Velázquez and Frazier, and thanks to an error by the center fielder, Garcia ended up at 2nd base and fired up the Royals dugout. 3 runs was all the Boys in the Blue needed thanks to shutout innings by relievers Nick Anderson, Tyler Duffey, Will Smith, and Chris Stratton. The Royals got the victory and are now 21-15.
